Converting an SMF to a song
You can convert an SMF (Standard MIDI File) Format 0 sequence data file into an MV-
8000 song.
1.
Press .
The IMPORT MENU screen will appear.
2.
Press (Song).
The
IMPORT screen
(p. 366) will appear.
3.
Move the cursor to the SMF data that you want to import.
The procedure here is the same as in the
FILE UTILITY screen
(p. 330). For details,
refer to
Managing files (File Utility)
(p. 143).
4.
Press (Execute).
The SMF data will be converted into an MV-8000 song. If the conversion is successful,
a message of “Completed” will appear, and you will return to the
IMPORT screen
(p.
366).
Format 0 (in which all
sequence data is held in a
single track) is the only type of
SMF data that the MV-8000 can
import.
