Creating a folder
Here's how to create another folder (a “child folder”) within the current folder. This is
convenient when you want to combine files into a convenient location by copying
them.
1.
Select the drive in which you want to create a folder, as described in
Changing the current drive for file operations
(p. 143).
2.
Select the desired folder as the current folder, as described in
Changing the
current folder
(p. 144).
The new folder will be created within the current folder.
3.
Press (Make Folder).
The
EDIT FOLDER NAME
(p. 199) will appear. Input a name for the folder. For details
on inputting text, refer to Quick start p. 9.
4.
When you have finished inputting the name, press (OK).
Renaming a folder or file
Here's how to rename a file or folder that is saved on the disk.
1.
Move the cursor to the folder or file that you want to rename.
2.
Press (Rename).
The
EDIT FOLDER NAME
(p. 199) will appear. Input the desired name. For details on
inputting text, refer to p.9.
3.
When you have finished inputting the name, press (OK).
You must never rename a folder other than those described in
Folder structure
(p.
142), with the exception of a folder you create as described in
Creating a new project
(p. 139). Such folders and files are used by the MV-8000's system. If you rename them,
the system will not operate correctly, and important data will be lost.
You can assign a maximum of
sixteen characters.
You can assign a maximum of
twenty characters.
