SXPL061 PLM(#61): NOTICE: retries exceeded on PDS <PDS-name> at unload/umount
Meaning
Despite several attempts the PLM was not able to unload the drive <PDS-name> or the
robot was not able to reset the cartridge. To avoid unnecessary robot movements the drive
is placed in the 'out of service' state (see message SXPL023 on page 475).
Response
The drive must be checked to see whether the cartridge is jammed. It may be necessary to
unload the cartridge manually. A robot fault may also be involved. In this case notify the
maintenance staff. After the fault has been cleared the drive can reset to 'in service'.
