Crossover/Splitter/Subwoofer
Crossover/Splitter/Subwoofer
The crossover divides the frequency spectrum of the input signal into multiple bands, then outputs each band to a separate
channel. The splitter distributes the input signal across two outputs without any further processing. The subwoofer is a sin-
gle low pass filter. Because it is fully configurable, it can also be used as a bandpass or high pass filter.
Function
Use the crossover to divide the frequency range of the input signal with two filters, then distribute each frequency
band to a separate output for different types of speakers. Use the splitter when you need to simply distribute the
same signal to both outputs. Use the subwoofer to isolate a single frequency band before sending the signal to an
output. The crossover, splitter and subwoofer are for output processing only, and cannot be placed on input chan-
nel strips. See the Adding Processors: The Crossover, Splitter, and Subwoofer section on page 23 for more infor-
