ASSIGNING A LIVE CAMERA TO AN EXTERNAL MONITOR
1. Use the Navigation panel to select a camera. If there is a red slash mark across the icon, that camera has been online in the past but is not
currently available for display.
2. Drag the selected camera icon into the icon representing the external monitor of your choice. The name of that camera appears within the
blue box. You can also drag a camera on the external monitor wall to a different monitor or to another workspace. If an external monitor is
set up with a multi-pane display, you can drag a camera to a specific video pane on the monitor.
3. Click the “View selected camera” button to view video from the selected camera, along with the camera’s name and location.
USING QUICK SEARCH TO PLAY RECORDED VIDEO ON AN EXTERNAL MONITOR
1. Click the Quick Search tab, and search for video. Refer to Quick Search on page 63.
2. On the External Monitors tab, click the icon for the monitor on which you want to play back the Search results.
3. Click the Play button to start playback on the selected external monitor.
4. Once playback has started, you may use the External Monitors video controls to pause, frame forward or reverse, fast forward or reverse, or
jump to marked events.
5. To return to viewing live video, right-click the video and then select the Go to Live command from the shortcut menu.
USING ENHANCED SEARCH TO PLAY RECORDED VIDEO ON AN EXTERNAL MONITOR
1. Click the Enhanced Search Results tab, and search for video. Refer to Enhanced Search on page 64.
2. Click the External Monitors workspace tab.
3. Drag the search result from the Enhanced Search results tab onto a monitor icon.
4. Use the External Monitors video controls to play, pause, frame forward or frame reverse, fast forward or fast reverse, or jump to marked
events.
5. To return to viewing live video, right-click the video and then select the Go to Live command from the shortcut menu.
PLAY RECORDED VIDEO WHILE WATCHING LIVE VIDEO ON AN EXTERNAL MONITOR
1. Use the Navigation panel to select a camera.
2. Click any reverse button to switch from viewing live video to recorded video. You can review recorded video frame by frame, or you can use
the Fast Reverse button .
REMOVING ALARM TEXT FROM AN EXTERNAL MONITOR
1. Click the icon for the monitor that is displaying a flashing alarm.
2. Right-click the mouse and then select the Remove Alert Text command. The alarm disappears.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME THAT ACCOMPANIES VIDEO ON AN EXTERNAL MONITOR
1. On the External Monitors tab, select an external monitor.
2. Move the audio scroll box to the right or left along the Audio scroll bar .
