Labeling an MD
— Name Function
3 Press NAME EDIT/CHARACTER.
The text input screen appears, and the
cursor flashes.
If you display the track number in step 2,
play starts automatically and you can
input the track title while confirming the
track.
4 Press NAME EDIT/CHARACTER
to select the desired type of
character.
Each time you press the button, the
display changes as follows:
A (Upper cases) n a (Lower cases)
n 0 (Numbers) n ! (Symbols)
n (Blank space) n A n
...
5 Turn MULTI JOG until the character
you want appears.
To enter a blank space
Press CURSOR n without turning
MULTI JOG. You cannot enter a space as
the first character.
To enter a symbol
You can use the following 24 symbols.
! ” # $ % & ’ ( ) + , – . / : ; < = > ? @ _ `
6 Press CURSOR n to enter the
character.
The cursor shifts rightward and waits for
the input of the next character.
During Select Synchro Recording, if a CD has
a disc title (name), the same title is assigned
to the MD (Disc Memo Copy). However, you
can also create titles for your recorded MDs
and tracks during play or in stop mode.
A total of approximately 1700 characters can
be input for the disc title and track titles on a
single MD.
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly to
switch the function to MD.
2 Select the desired MD.
To label a disc title, press MD D.SKIP on
the remote repeatedly so the button of
the desired MD lights green. If the MD
appears in the slot, press 6 to load the
MD (to the recording/playing unit).
To label a track title, turn MULTI JOG
until the track number you want to label
appears.
