To cancel Program Play
(If listening to an MD, press p to stop playing
first.) Press PLAY MODE repeatedly until
“PROGRAM” disappears.
To cancel the programming
operation
Press p for the CD or MD during steps 3 to 5.
To clear the last programmed
track
Press CLEAR in Program Play stop mode.
Each time you press the button, a track is
cleared from the end of the program.
To check the total number of the
programmed tracks
Press LOWER DISPLAY in stop mode.
The total number of the programmed tracks
appears.

MD:
To check the program order
Turn MULTI JOG (or press CD/MD + on
the remote) during Program Play.
The tracks appear in the order programmed,
and Program Play starts from the point where
you release MULTI JOG.
To add a track to the program
1 Press CD/MD 1 – 5 (or CD/MD D.SKIP on
the remote) in stop mode to select the
desired CD or MD.
2 Turn MULTI JOG (or press CD/MD =
or + on the remote) to select the track
number, then press ENTER/YES.
The selected track is added to the end of the
program.
Tips
The program you made remains after the Program
Play has finished. To play the same program
again, press ·P for the CD or MD (or CD/MD
· on the remote).
To record tracks on an MD in the programmed
order, see “Recording your favorite portions” on
page 43.
If you press any CD 1 – 5 6 and open a disc tray
or remove an MD from the MD 1 – 5 slots, the
tracks on the CD in that tray or the removed MD
are erased from the program.
If you program all of the tracks on a CD or MD at
once (if you select “AL ” in step 3), the disc is
programmed as one track (step) in the program.
“Step Full” appears when you try to program 26
or more tracks (steps).
“--.--” appears when the total CD program time
exceeds 100 minutes, or when you select a CD
track whose number is 21 or over. In addition,
“---.--” appears when the total MD program time
exceeds 200 minutes.
• You can also make a CD program with a pause at
any point from the second track onward. Press
CD P on the remote before selecting CD in step 3.
A pause is programmed as one track (step) in the
program.
Note
If you insert a disc into a slot containing a disc used
in a program you made (whose MD 1 – 5 button
lights green), play stops and the entire program is
cleared.
