Recording on an MD

1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
“TUNER” appears.
To record from an optional component
connected to this system, select “TAPE”
or “DVD (VIDEO)”.
2 Press REC to set the MD deck to
recording standby.
3 Press MENU/NO twice, so that
“Setup Menu” appears.
4 Turn MULTI JOG until
“T.Mark Off” appears, then press
ENTER/YES.
5 Turn MULTI JOG until “T.Mark
LSync” appears, then press ENTER/
YES.
“L-SYNC” appears.
6 Press ·P for the MD.
Recording starts.
To stop recording
Press p for the MD.
To cancel the track marking
1 Press MENU/NO twice during recording
pause, so that “Setup Menu” appears.
2 Turn MULTI JOG until “T.Mark LSync”
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
3 Turn MULTI JOG until “T.Mark Off”
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
“L-SYNC” disappears.
When “L-SYNC” is off, a track number is
marked only at the start of recording.
Note
You cannot mark track numbers automatically if the
sound source to be recorded is noisy (e.g., tapes or
radio programs), even if the Level Synchro
Recording feature is on.
Marking track numbers at
a specific point while
recording
You can mark track numbers at any time
while recording, regardless of the type of
sound source.
/ Press REC while recording at the
point you want to add a track mark.
A track number is marked at that point.
