To stop Time Machine Recording
Press p for the MD.
Tip
You can adjust the recording level to the desired
volume after performing step 4 (see page 48).
Before pulling out the power cord
MD recording is completed when the MD Table of
Contents (TOC) is updated. The TOC is updated
when you eject the MD or press 1/u (power) and
turn off the system. Do not pull out the power cord
before updating the TOC (while “TOC” is lit) or
while updating the TOC (while “TOC” is flashing)
to ensure the complete recording.
Note
The MD deck starts storing audio data when the
deck stands by for recording (step 4). If less than 6
seconds have passed since the deck was set to
recording standby, Time Machine Recording starts
with less than 6 seconds of audio data.
Marking track
numbers
You can mark track numbers:
Automatically while recording
Track numbers are automatically marked as on
the original source during CD and MD digital
recording.
Use the Level Synchro Recording feature to
automatically mark track numbers while
recording other sources.
At any point while recording
You can mark track numbers at any time while
recording, regardless of the type of sound source.
After recording
Use the Divide Function (see page 58).
Marking track numbers
automatically while
recording
— Level Synchro Recording
The Level Synchro Recording feature is
factory set to on, so track numbers are
automatically marked. If “L-SYNC” does not
appear in the display during recording,
follow the procedure below and turn on
Level Synchro Recording. Track numbers are
automatically marked when the input signal
is continuously below a certain level for
about 2 seconds or more and then exceeds
that level again.
