GETTING STARTED
There are three major tasks required to configure TopAccess to
meet your unique needs:
1 Set up the administrative functions, such as password, contact
information, messages, department codes, and preferences.
2 Set up the copier and printer functions.
3 Configure network protocols and setting up email.
4 Set up scan agents and templates.
5 Upload client software to the controller so your users can
installed on their workstations.
SETTING UP ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS
The following topics explain administrative tasks to set up the
system.
Setting the Administrator’s Password
1 Log in as an administrator.
2Click the
Administration tab.
3Click the
Device subtab.
The Device window opens.
4 In the Properties area, enter a five-digit administrator’s
password for the device in the Administrator's Password
field.
TopAccess requires this password to log in as an
administrator.
5 To enter a new password, type the new password over the old
password.

Click Save.
Setting the Default Start Page
1Click the
Preferences link.
The preferences page displays.
2 Click the Start Page drop-down arrow and select the start
page.
3Click
Save to save your new settings.
