8Press PUSH ENTER again when you
find the point where you want to divide
the track.
“Complete!” appears for a few seconds and
the newly created track begins playing. The
first track will have the original title while
the second track will have no track title.
To cancel dividing
Press x.
To cancel the menu operation
Press MODE SELECT.
To undo the Divide Function
Use the Undo Function immediately after you
divided the track (see page 59), or use the
Combine Function (see page 58).
Tip
You can divide a track while MD is stopped or
playing.
Notes
If you divide a labelled track (page 48) into two
tracks, only the first track is labelled with the
original title.
Eg.
The track cannot be divided at the beginning or end.
If these points are selected, “Impossible” appears.
Move the multi stick toward b or B and shift the
dividing point.
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
“MD” appears in the display.
2 Press MODE SELECT repeatedly to
select “Set Up Mode”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
3 Move the multi stick toward b or B
repeatedly to select “MD Set Up ?”,
then press PUSH ENTER.
4 Move the multi stick toward b or B
repeatedly to select “MD Edit ?”, then
press PUSH ENTER.
5 Move the multi stick toward b or B
repeatedly to select “MD Divide?”, then
press PUSH ENTER.
6 Move the multi stick toward b or B
repeatedly until the track you want to
divide appears, then press PUSH
ENTER.
“Rehearsal” appears and the portion to be
divided is played repeatedly.
7 While monitoring the sound, move the
multi stick toward b or B repeatedly to
find the point to divide the track.
When you move the multi stick toward b or
B repeatedly, frame (1f=
1
/86 second), second
(s), and minutes (m) are displayed. The
dividing point moves in increments of
1 frame.
To adjust the dividing point in increments of
1 second or 1 minutes, press m/M to
flash the unit by which you want to shift (s or
m), then move the multi stick toward b or B
to shift the point.
