Labelling an MD
— Name Function
You can create titles for your recorded MDs and
tracks as follows.
During recording
If “CD TEXT” flashes in the display during
recording a CD, you can record track titles on the
MD (see page 50).
After recording
Use Name Function on this page. You can input a
total of approximately 1700 characters for the disc
title and track titles on a single MD.
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until
“MD” appears in the display.
To label a disc, press x to stop playing the
disc.
To label a track, press ./> repeatedly
until the desired track number appears.
2 Press NAME EDIT/ CHARACTER.
The cursor starts flashing.
When you select the track in step 1, the
playback starts automatically.
3 Press NAME EDIT/ CHARACTER
repeatedly until the type of character
you want appears.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes as follows:
(Space) t A (Upper case)
t a (Lower case) t 0 (Numbers)
t ’ (Symbols)* t (Space)**
* You can use the following
symbols.
**To enter a space
Go to step 5.
4 Move the multi stick toward v or V
repeatedly until the character you want
appears.
5 Move the multi stick toward b or B.
The character you selected in step 4 stops
flashing and the cursor shifts to the left or
right.
