Long Play recording
In addition to normal stereo recording, this system
has two long time modes: LP2 and LP4. When
recording in LP2 mode, you can record 2 times the
normal recordable time, and in LP4 mode, you can
record 4 times the normal recordable time. In
addition, the recordable time for monaural
recording is approximately double the stereo
recording time.
Note
MDs recorded in MD LP (LP2 or LP4) mode cannot
be played back on a system that does not support MD
LP mode. In addition, you cannot perform S.F Edit,
etc., for MDs recorded in MD LP mode.
3 Press MD REC MODE repeatedly to
select the recording mode you want.
4 Press MD REC.
The MD deck is now ready for recording.
5 Press MD NX.
Recording starts.
6 Start playing the source you want to
record.
To stop recording
Press x.
Tips
When you press FUNCTION while recording from
a CD, both CD and MD stop.
“OVER” lights when a high-level signal is input
during recording from the component connected to
VIDEO (AUDIO) IN.
You can adjust the recording level to the desired
volume after performing step 4 (see page 46).
You can check the remaining time in the display
while recording by pressing DISPLAY .
Note
If you pause recording during CD recording, a track
number is recorded at that point. Also, note that the
tracks might be recorded as the same single track with
a single track number when the same single track of
the same CD is recorded repeatedly.
Recording on an MD manually
