Editing an MD
6 Repeat steps 3 through 5 to complete
the entire title.
If you enter an incorrect character, move the
multi stick toward b or B repeatedly until
the character you want to change flashes,
then repeat steps 3 through 5.
To erase a character, press CLEAR while the
character is flashing.
7 Press PUSH ENTER to complete the
labelling procedure.
The disc or the track is labelled.
To cancel labelling
Press x.
Tips
• You can label a track title while playing. The
current track is played repeatedly until the labelling
is completed.
• You can label an MD using the “MD Set Up ?”
menu.
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until “MD”
appears in the display.
2 While MD is stopped, press MODE SELECT
repeatedly to select “Set Up Mode”, then press
PUSH ENTER.
3 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “MD Set Up ?”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
4 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “MD Edit ?”, then press PUSH ENTER.
5 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “MD Name?”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
6 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “Name In?”, then press PUSH ENTER.
7 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select the disc or track you want to label, then
press PUSH ENTER.
Follow steps 3 through 7 from the previous page.
Note
If the MD is record protected, “C11” and “Protected”
appears in the display alternately and the MD cannot
be recorded on. Press A and remove the MD, slide
the record protection tab to the closed position (see
page 37), reinsert the MD and try again.
To copy disc or track title
You can copy a labelled disc or a track title to use it
as a title for another disc or for a track title within a
disc.
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly until “MD”
appears in the display.
2 While MD is stopped, press MODE SELECT
repeatedly to select “Set Up Mode”, then press
PUSH ENTER.
3 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “MD Set Up ?”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
4 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “MD Edit ?”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
5 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “MD Name?”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
6 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
to select “Name Copy?”, then press PUSH
ENTER.
7 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
until “Disc” (when copying the disc title) or the
track you want to copy the title from appears,
then press PUSH ENTER.
When “No Name” appears, the disc or the track
has not been labelled.
8 Move the multi stick toward b or B repeatedly
until “Disc” or the track you want to copy the
title to appears, then press PUSH ENTER.
When “Overwrite??” appears, the copy
destination already has a disc or track title.
To continue or copy the title, press PUSH
ENTER.
