ROOM ON/OFF to activate the sub-room operations.
Pressing one of the audio source selecting buttons on the remote
control (except FM and AM) with the MAIN ROOM/SUB ROOM
(LEARN/TRANSMIT) selector set to “SUB ROOM” while the
receiver is turned on but the sub-room is turned off, the sub-room
is turned on with the audio source selected.
You cannot select the following as the sub-room source:
“TV”
“DVD MULTI”
Any digital input
You can only select the analog input as the sub-room source. (If
analog connections have not been done, no sound comes out of
the sub-room speakers.)
Adjusting the Sub-Room Volume
On the unit:
To increase the volume, turn MASTER
VOLUME clockwise.
To decrease the volume, turn it
counterclockwise.
When you turn MASTER VOLUME rapidly,
the volume level also changes rapidly.
When you turn MASTER VOLUME slowly,
the volume level also changes slowly.
From the remote control:
To increase the volume, press VOLUME +.
To decrease the volume, press VOLUME –.
CAUTIONS:
Always set the volume to the minimum before starting any source. If
the volume is set at a high level, the sudden blast of sound energy
can permanently damage your hearing and/or ruin your speakers.
Be careful not to turn up the volume so high when controlling the
receiver without listening to the playback sound. For example, when
adjusting the volume level in the sub-room from the main room.
Notes:
The volume level can be adjusted within the range of “– – – dB”
(minimum) to “+18.0 dB” (maximum).
With “SUBROOM PREOUT” set to “FIXED” (see page 40), no
sounds come out of the SUB ROOM PREOUT jacks if the volume
level is set to “– – – dB.” If this case, increasing the volume level will
enable the sound output through the SUB ROOM PREOUT jacks.
