Turning the unit on
% Rotate SOURCE on the head unit to
turn the unit on.
When you select a source the unit is turned
on.
# When using theremote control, press
SOURCE to turnthe unit on.
Selecting a source
You can select a source you want to listen to.
Toswitch to the built-in CD player, load a CD
in this unit (refer to page 19). To switch to the
built-in MD player, load an MD in this unit
(refer to page 28).
% Rotate SOURCE on the head unit to se-
lect a source.
Rotate SOURCE repeatedly to switch between
the following sources:
TunerTelevisionDVD player/Multi-DVD
playerBuilt-in CD playerMulti-CD
playerBuilt-in MD playerExternal unit
1External unit 2AUXSources off
# When using theremote control, press
SOURCE repeatedly.
Notes
! In the followingcases, the sound source will
not change:
When a unitcorresponding to each source
is not connectedto this unit.
When nodisc is set in this unit.
When nodisc is set in the DVDplayer.
When nomagazine is set in themulti-CD
player.
When nomagazine is set in themulti-DVD
player.
When theAUX (auxiliary input) is set to off
(refer to page57).
! External unit refersto a Pioneerproduct (such
as one available in the future) that,although
incompatible as asource, enables control of
basic functions bythis unit. Twoexternal units
can be controlled by this unit.When two exter-
nal units are connected, the allocationof
them to externalunit 1 or external unit2 is
automatically set bythis unit.
! When this units blue lead isconnected to the
cars auto-antenna relay controlterminal, the
cars antenna extends whenthis units se-
lected source isthe tuner.To retractthe anten-
na, switch to asource other than tuner.
Turning the unit off
% Rotate SOURCE on the head unit until
the unit turns off.
When using the remote control, press
SOURCE and hold until the unit turns off.
