Using the high pass filter
When you do not want low sounds from the
subwoofer output frequency range to play
from the front or rear speakers, turn on the
HPF (high pass filter). Only frequencies higher
than those in the selected range are output
from the front or rear speakers.
1 Touch HPF on the audio function menu.
2 Touch c to turn high pass filter on.
High pass filter is turned on and the cut-off fre-
quency setting becomes available.
# To turnhigh pass filter off, touch d.
3 Touch c or d to select cut-off fre-
quency.
Each time you touch c or d selects cut-off fre-
quencies in the following order:
50Hz80Hz125Hz
Adjusting source levels
SLA (source level adjustment) lets you adjust
the volume level of each source to prevent ra-
dical changes in volume when switching be-
tween sources.
! Settings are based on the FM volume level,
which remains unchanged.
1 Compare the FM volume level with the
level of the source you wish to adjust.
2 Touch SLA on the audio function menu.
3 Touch a or b to adjust the source vo-
lume.
Each time you touch a or b it increases or de-
creases the source volume.
+4 to 4 is displayed as the source volume is
increased or decreased.
Notes
! The AM volume levelcan also be adjusted
with source level adjustments.
! Video CD, CDand compressed audio are set
to the same sourcelevel adjustment volume
automatically.
! AUX (auxiliary input) and AV (AV input)are set
to the same sourcelevel adjustment volume
automatically.
! External unit 1 andexternal unit 2 are set to
the same source leveladjustment volume
automatically.
! SLA function does not adjustthe volume for
the BT telephone source.
Staging for car environment
You can create in car a sound environment
that can be best matched with the type of your
listening music (or movie).
1 Touch STAGING on the audio function
menu.
2 Touch a desired staging field.
! OFF (off)
! MUSIC STUDIO (musicstudio)
! DYNAMIC THEATER (dynamictheater)
! ACTORS STAGE (actors stage)
! RELAX LIVING (relaxingliving room)
