becomes better with an increased bit rate.
This unit can play recordings with bit rates
from 48 kbps to 192 kbps, but in order to be
able to enjoy sound of a certain quality, we
recommend using discs recorded with a
higher bit rate.
! This unit does not play back WMA files re-
corded as VBR (variable bit rate).
About folders and
compressed audio files
! An outline of a CD-ROM with compressed
audio is shown below. Subfolders are
shown as folders in the folder currently se-
lected.

! This unit assigns foldernumbers. The user
cannot assign folder numbers.
! It is not possibleto check folders that do not
include compressed audiofiles. (These folders
will be skipped withoutdisplaying the folder
number.)
! Compressed audio filesin up to 8 tiers of
folders can be playedback. However, thereis
a delay in thestart of playback on discswith
numerous tiers. For this reason we recom-
mend creating discs withno more than 2
tiers.
! It is possible toplay back up to 253 itemsfrom
folders on one disc.
