When an operation is prohibited
When you are watching a DVD and attempt to
perform an operation, it may not be performed
because of the programming on the disc.
When this happens, the icon
appears on
the screen.
! The icon
may not appear with certain
discs.
Resetting the microprocessor
Pressing RESET lets you reset the micropro-
cessor to its initial settings.
The microprocessor must be reset under the
following conditions:
! Prior to using this unit for the first time
after installation
! If the unit fails to operate properly
! When strange or incorrect messages ap-
pear on the display
1 Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2 Press RESET with a pen tip or other
pointed instrument.

! When using with AVG-VDP1, if youpress
RESET, be sure ACCOFF is selected. If ACC
ON is selected, correct operation maynot be
possible even if you pressRESET.
! After completing connectionsor when you
want to erase allmemorized settings or return
the unit to itsinitial (factory) settings, switch
your engine ON orset the ignition switch to
ACC ON before pressingRESET.
About the demo mode
Important
The red lead (ACC)of this unit should be con-
nected to a terminalcoupled with ignition switch
on/off operations. If thisis not done, the vehicle
battery may be drained.
The feature demo automatically starts when
you select the source OFF. The demo con-
tinues while the ignition switch is set to ACC
or ON. To cancel the feature demo, press and
hold ENTERTAINMENT (ENT). To restart the
feature demo, press and hold
ENTERTAINMENT (ENT) again. Remember
that if the feature demo continues operating
when the car engine is turned off, it may drain
battery power.
