CAUTION
When formatting a card, use a TASCAM PS-P520 AC adapter
(sold separately), USB bus power or conrm that the batteries
are suciently charged. If the power fails during formatting,
the formatting might not occur correctly.
Setting the file name format
You can set the format of the names given to les recorded by
the unit.
1. Press the MENU button to open the
MENU
screen.
2. Use the §/BROWSE and ¶/MIC buttons to select the
FILE NAME
menu item, and press the Á button or ¯
button to open the
FILE NAME
screen.
Use the §/BROWSE and ¶/MIC buttons to select each item,
(when selected, the “
:
” becomes an “∑” and the setting value
is highlighted or the cursor is shown.
You can make the following settings for the items on the
screen.
File name format
Use the VALUE (+/–) buttons to set the
TYPE
item to
WORD
or
DATE
.
Options:
WORD
( default value),
DATE
WORD
: The six characters set in the
WORD
item are used to
name les.
Example: LR0000_0000.wav
DATE
: The date is used to name les (yymmdd).
Example: 090101_0000.wav
NOTE
The date is set according to the unit’s internal clock. (See
“Setting the date and time” on page 45.)
