Recording starts automatically when the input signal level
exceeds the detection level set using the
START
LEVEL
item.
Recording stops automatically and the unit returns to
recording standby when the input signal level stays below
the detection level set using the
START
LEVEL
item for five
or more seconds and RECORD [º] indicator blinks.
TIP
Use this function in combination with the pre-recording
function to record without missing the beginning of a
performance.
NOTE
When
AUTO
REC
is ON, unlike usual, pressing the RECORD [º]
button briey does not start recording, but does put the unit
into recording standby.
9. You can press the [ª] button if you want to stop a
recording that has started automatically.
CAUTION
When overdubbing, the auto-recording function cannot be
used.
Track incrementation
You can start recording to a new le without interruption
manually. If a le reaches the maximum size (2GB), the unit
will also automatically start recording to a new le. In both
cases, the original le is saved and no gap occurs in the
recording.
Manual track incrementation during
recording
At any time during recording, you can manually start a new
le and continue recording easily.
1. Press the ¯ button during recording.
CAUTION
A new file cannot be created if the total number of files and
folders would exceed 5000.
Files shorter than two seconds cannot be created.
If the name of a newly created file would be the same as
that of an existing file, the number at the end of the name
is increased to give the new file a unique name.
When overdubbing, the track incrementation function
cannot be used.
