5–Recording
This unit can record a performance through the built-in mic or
from a keyboard or similar instrument that is connected to the
LINE IN jack. The audio le format used for recording is always
44.1 kHz, 16-bit WAV.
In addition, this unit can also mix the input signal and an
audio le that is playing back and record both together
(overdubbing).
Setting the location where recorded
files are saved
You can set the location where recorded les are saved. (See
“Folder operations” on page 59.)
If you do not set a destination, les will be saved directly in
the MUSIC folder.
Setting the input functions
1 Press the MENU button to open the
MENU
Screen.
2 Use the §/BROWSE and /MIC buttons to select
INPUT SETTING
, and press the Á or ¯ button to
open the
INPUT SETTING
screen.
This screen has the following setting items.
Use the §/BROWSE and /MIC buttons to select the
desired item. (When selected, the “

” becomes “
and the setting value appears as light letters on a dark
background.) Use the VALUE (+/–) buttons to change the
setting value.
The
GAIN
,
TYPE
,
LOW CUT
and
LEVEL CTRL
items only
function when
INPUT
is set to
MIC
.
INPUT:
Set the input source to microphone (
MIC
) or line (
LINE
).
The default setting is
MIC
.
When
MIC
is selected, sets the input source as the built-in
microphones.
When
LINE
is selected, sets the source as the line level
signal input to the right side panel LINE IN jack (stereo
mini-jack).
GAIN:
Set the built-in microphones input sensitivity as
HIGH
,
MID
, or
LOW
.
