10 – Internal settings
Menu screen
Press the MENU key on the front of the unit to open the MENU
screen shown below.
o REC SETUP button
Make recording settings.
o PLAY SETUP button
Make playback settings.
o SYNC T/C button
Make synchronization and timecode settings.
o REMOTE SETUP button
Make external remote controller settings.
o AUDIO I/O button
Make settings related to the input and output of audio
signals.
o METER SETUP button
Make level meter settings.
o SYSTEM SETUP button
Make system settings.
o VERSION INFO button
View the system version.
o BROWSE button
View and perform operations on folders and files on SD
cards, CF cards and USB flash drives.
o MEDIA MANAGE button
Perform operations on media
o TIMER EVENT LIST button
Add new events to the timer event list and edit and
delete existing events.
o OPERATION MODE button
Set the operation mode.
Recording settings (REC SETUP)
The REC SETUP screen has three tabbed pages: REC MODE, FILE
FORMAT and OPTIONS.
Touch the tabs at the bottom of the screen to open the corre-
sponding page.
REC MODE page
Make settings related to the recording mode.
REC MODE
o Single (default): Recording on only the selected media
(current media).
o Mirror: Recording on two media simultaneously.

*1 Conditions that make mirror recording impossible
o Insufficient remaining space on the current media.
o The currently selected media is not loaded.
o The CF card set as current media is not compatible.
(PIO mode)
o The current media is not in a compatible format.
(Not FAT16 or FAT32.)
o A take numbered 999 already exists on one medium
with a name that matches the setting on the NEXT
TAKE NAME screen (opened from the Home Screen). (
“----“ is shown for the "NEXT TAKE NAME" number.)
o The total number of entries (total number of files and
folders) in the current folders of both media exceeds
the system limitation.
Repeat recording and editing in timeline mode has
occurred, so not enough capacity for managing
regions and edit history is available to record.
(RecLimit is shown on the media remaining space
button.)
*2 Conditions that make mirror recording unavailable
o Remaining space on the mirror media is insufficient.
(If the remaining space on the current media is
exhausted, mirror recording is also impossible.1)
