Tips
To create a group without registering any tracks,
press l or L (or . or > on the remote)
repeatedly until “None” appears, then press
ENTER/YES on the remote in step 6.
“Complete!” appears.
You can also register tracks that were recorded on a
system that does not support the Group Function.
Notes
You cannot register the same track to multiple
groups.
If all the tracks on an MD are registered into
groups, “Assign None” appears after step 5 and you
cannot register tracks.
When creating a group without registering any
tracks, you must enter the group title.
If you do not enter a group title in step 5, “Group **
(group number)” appears instead of the group title.
Releasing group
registrations
Release Function
These functions allow you to release group
registrations simply by specifying the group for
which you want to release the registrations. In
addition, you can also release the group
registrations of all tracks on an MD at once.
Releasing a single group
Group Release Function
You can release the group registrations of all
tracks within the specified group and erase that
group. (However, note that the tracks are not
erased.)
1 Press FUNCTION repeatedly to switch
the function to MD.
2 Press GROUP on the remote repeatedly
until the GROUP indicator lights up.
3 Press GROUP SKIP on the remote
repeatedly until the desired group
appears.
4 Press MENU/NO on the remote to
display Edit Menu.
5 Press l or L (or . or > on
the remote) repeatedly until Gp
Release? appears, then press ENTER/
YES on the remote.
“REL Gp** (selected group number)??”
appears.
6 Press ENTER/YES on the remote.
“Complete!” appears.
