Projector address
Address installed in the projector to be individually controlled.
Common address
Default address. Projector will always execute the command coming from a RCU programmed with that common
address.
Why a projector address ?
As more than one projector can be installed in a room, the separate projector should be separately addressable with an RCU or
computer. T here for each projector has its own address.
Set up an individual Projector Address.
The set up of a pr ojector ad dress c an be done via the software. See ’Change projector address’ in chapter ’Service m ode’.
Projector controlling.
Every p rojector requires a n individual address between 0 and 255 which can be set in the Service mode.
When the address is set, the projector can be controlled now:
RCU for addresses between 0 and 9.
computer, e.g. IBM PC (or compatible), Apple MAC, etc. for addresses between 0 and 255.
A projector will respond to a RCU set to the comm on address (’0’ o r ’1’) regardless of what address is s et in
the projector itself.
The RCU is default programm ed with address 0 o r 1, ’common address’. With that ’com mo n address’ p ro-
grammed into the RCU, every projector, w ithout exception will listen to the commands given by this RCU. If
it is necessary to control a specific projector, than enter the projector address into the RCU (only when that
address is b etween 0 and 9). Th e p rojector w ith the corresponding address will listen to that specific RCU .
Common Address
Every projector has a com mon address ’0’ or ’1’. The choice between ’0’ and ’1’ can be s elected in the Service mode.
