Press to switch the TUNER on or off (not possible
with all models, especially those without a
standby mode).
2 BAND
Switches between AM and FM radio bands.
3 MPX
Press to switch between auto stereo and mono
reception of FM broadcasts. When the broadcast
signal is weak, selecting mono will improve the
sound quality.
4 TUNING –/+
Use to manually tune to radio stations.
5 STATION –/+
Use to choose programmed radio stations.
6 Number buttons
Use to input stations and frequency.
7 L1
Use to program selections (not possible with all
models).
8 DIRECT ACCESS
Allows you to input a frequency directly.
9 CLASS
Use to select the class (A, B or C) that a preset
station is in.
0 DISP MODE
Use this to switch between display modes.
- RF ATT
Press to turn the RF attenuator on when
receiving strong FM signals (nearby stations) to
reduce sound distortion.
Tuner operations
The following operations are available from the amplifier's remote control after you program
your FM/AM tuner into it, but some operations may need to be learned separately by the
amplifier (see “Setting Up the Remote Control to Control Other Components,“ p.52-55).
To perform these operations, press the LINE/TUNER button to set the remote to the CD operation
mode.
