Example
This example uses the ARD screen to illustrate the DElta command.
1. Display the ARD screen.
2. Press Enter a couple of times and notice how ARD’s data changes. In particular, notice
how the numbers in the CPU TIME field get larger as the total changes over time.
3. In the COMMAND field, type DElta.
The screen now looks similar to this:
Notice that CPU TIME becomes DCPU TIME to indicate that you are in delta mode, and
notice that the Mode field on the status line now says DELTA.
Press Enter a few times while keeping an eye on the data in DCPU TIME.
You can see how the values are much smaller now. That is because you are looking at the
difference between collection intervals, rather than the total value.
4. In the COMMAND field, type DElta OFF to return to total mode.
