Automatic Online History File Compression
Historical files are now automatically compressed without requiring SMS compression to
achieve substantial DASD space savings.
Improvements in SSI Usage through Weighted Averages
Weighted averages are used instead of simple averages to improve the usability of combining
numbers with different base values. This is the case especially with SSI mode, where the data
of different systems is being combined.
Data Collector Performance Improvements
Substantial performance improvements have been made to the DEVICE and ENQUEUE data
collectors.
EXPort Command
The new EXPort command allows you to save query data to a data set or SYSOUT class. The
exported data can be used to supplement performance reports or can be downloaded to a
workstation for use with a spreadsheet application.
TIME Command Extensions
Several new keywords for the TIME command date and duration parameters can be used to
provide relative date or duration, such as TODAY or LASTMONDAY, instead of a specific
calendar date.
