OTHER SOURCE FUNCTIONS
1. When a source is
playing in the zone,
the appropriate “Now
Playing” screen will be
displayed.
2. Pressing any of the
function keys on the
Solo-6MD keypad will
issue the IR command
programmed for the
respective key.
3. If the selected source input
has not been confi gured
for a source (see Naming
Sources), the “Source Not
Present” screen will be
displayed.
4. The Solo-6MD keypad
supports direct tuning
on certain third-party
devices such as satellite
TV and cable boxes,
satellite radio tuners, TV
tuners and HDTV tuners.
The source device’s IR
commands for the direct tuning numbers must be learned
into the ZR-6 for this feature to function. When a device
supports direct tuning, the soft button on the right will be
labeled “123…”. Press this button to access the direct
tuning page
5. Press the Up Arrow and the Down Arrow to scroll the
highlighted number. Scrolling up from 1 displays 2. Scrolling
down from 1 displays 0. There is a blank space between the
9 and the 0.
6. Press the Right Arrow to move the cursor to the right.
Press the Left Arrow to move the cursor to the left. Press
Select when the desired channel is displayed. The ZR-6
will issue a sequence of IR commands to tune the device to
the selected channel.
PARTY (WHOLE-HOUSE) MODE
1. Press-and-hold either the Radio key or the iPod key on any
installed keypad to turn on the radio or iPod in all enabled
zones (see “Party Mode” in the
Confi guration
section).
Each zone will react as if the source key was pressed in
that particular zone.
2. When selecting a source from the source menu, press-
and-hold the Play/Pause/Select key to activate the Party
mode for the selected source.
3. Press-and-hold the Off key to turn off the entire system (all
zones).
MISCELLANEOUS
1. During a page, the Niles logo key will blink if the zone is
enabled to receive a page.
2. Should the ZR-6
MultiZone Receiver
experience a fault
(overheating, speaker
short, etc.) “Fault
Detected” will be
displayed. The zone may
or may not continue to
play music, depending on the type of fault detected. The
front display on the ZR-6 MultiZone Receiver will provide
more detailed information (see the
Troubleshooting
section).
