OPERATING THE ZR-6 MULTIZONE RECEIVER
2. Press the Vol +, Vol -, <, and > keys to scroll through and
highlight the connected source devices.
3. Press the Play/Pause/Select key to select the highlighted
option. The selected source device will begin playing in
the zone. All zone activation functions, 12V triggers, IR
sequences, etc., will be executed. The appropriate “Now
Playing” screen will be displayed (see Device Source
Screens Library, Appendix A).
RADIO FUNCTIONS
1. When the radio is active
in the zone, the “Radio-
Now Playing” screen is
displayed. The currently
playing station frequency
number and preset station
number, if any, will also be
displayed.
2. When the radio is active in the zone, press the Radio key to
toggle through the radio station presets stored in the ZR-6
MultiZone Receiver.
3. Press the < and > keys to seek up or down to the next clear
station.
4. Press the FAV soft key to display the list of preset stations
stored in the ZR-6 MultiZone Receiver

soft keys to
move up a page or
down a page (fi ve
preset stations per page).
• Press the Play/Pause/Select key to select the
highlighted preset station.
5. Press the Play/Pause/Select key to toggle between the
AM and FM bands.
Direct Tuning a Radio Station
1. Press the 123… button on the Radio – Now Playing screen.
The Radio Direct Tuning screen will be displayed. The fi rst
digit is shown as a 1 and is highlighted.
2. Press the Up and Down arrows to scroll to the desired
number. The numbers are in a loop, so going up from 1
displays 2 and going down from 1 displays 0. There is a
blank between 9 and 0.
3. Press the Right arrow to move to the next digit to the right
and the Left arrow to go back to a digit to the left.
4. When the desired station frequency is displayed, press
Select. The Radio will tune to the entered station, and the
Now Playing screen will be displayed.
5. The MD keypad has some built-in intelligence to eliminate
steps when tuning a station. Some things to note:
• When tuning an FM
station, the fi rst digit
can only be a 1, 8
or 9. If an 8 or a 9 is
selected, only three
digits will be displayed.
(FM stations starting
with 1 will always be
four digits, while stations
starting with 8 or 9 will
always be three digits.)
• Press FM to toggle to
AM. The decimal point
will disappear and
the fi rst digit will be a
highlighted 1.
• When tuning an AM
station, only stations
starting with 1 will
have four digits. All
others are three digits.
Moving to the right will
cause a 0 to appear in
the last digit location
automatically.
