Playing back an ISO9660 formatted disc
You can play back an audio file (WAV file) on an ISO9660 formatted disc recorded by a computer
by selecting the root or a directory. The procedure example below assumes that an ISO9660
formatted disc which has the directory hierarchy as shown below is loaded.
2) Use the [MENU] dial to select the root (or a
directory) and press the [ENTER/YES] key.
The audio file table of the root (or a
directory) is created and the display returns
to the Home screen.
1) Set an ISO9660 formatted disc to the disc
tray and close the tray.
The CR500 recognizes that an ISO9660
formatted disc is loaded and brings up the
directory select screen as below.
<Note>:
The CR500 displays the directory
hierarchy from the root to the third level
folders (32 at maximum) and you can se-
lect a desired directory.
In the hierarchy example on the left, you
can select from among seven directories
(the root and six folders).
By selecting the root or a desired directory
and creating the audio file table, you can
play back a WAV file recorded on an
ISO9660 formatted disc.

3) Pressing the [PLAY] key starts playback
from the first file on the audio file table.
You can use various playback functions as
with a disc recorded by the CR500.
<Note>:
To select another directory (or
root), carry out either of the following
operations.
While the display shows the Home screen
as shown on the left, press the [SHIFT] key
to turn on the Shift mode, and press the
[FILE SEL/
DIR SEL
] key.
The display changes to show the directory
select screen as shown on the left, on which
you can select the root or a directory.
While the display shows the Home screen
as shown on the left, press the [ENTER/
YES] key to enter the menu mode and use
the [MENU] dial to select "DIRECTORY SEL
", then press the [ENTER/YES] key.
