When you connect a personal computer
for the first time, use the supplied
CD-ROM and install the software in the
computer before connecting the
supplied USB cable. Refer to the notes
on the CD-ROM case regarding
installation. Next, remove the label
affixed over the USB jack on the system,
and connect the computer to the system
using the supplied USB cable. Finally,
turn on the system.
You can listen to the audio recorded in the
computer’s hard disk or on a CD-ROM loaded
on the CD-ROM drive through the systems
speakers. And also you can operate the system
from the connected personal computer installed
the supplied software (M-crew or SonicStage for
Sony Net MDs).
Notes
Be sure to use the dedicated software (M-crew or
SonicStage for Sony Net MDs) supplied with this
system.
When you connect the supplied USB cable to your
computer, a driver installation may start
automatically. If a “File required” dialog box or other
dialog box appears, reinstall the device driver.
Disconnecting the USB cable is recommended while
it is not in use.
Even if you adjust the volume on the computer side,
the system volume cannot be adjusted.
When you connect the USB cable, the sound output
destination switches from the computer to the
system. To return the output destination to the
computer, stop the track being played by the
computer and disconnect the USB cable. To listen to
a track stored on your computer with the system, the
system must be set to the PC function.
Operation is not guaranteed when using other than
the supplied USB cable or when extending the cable
with an extension connector, etc.
