You can record just the portions you like from a
disc, MD or radio program on a tape.
You can also record from connected
components (see “Hooking up optional
components” on page 84).
Use buttons on the MD deck for the operation.
1 Load a recordable tape.
2 Press FUNCTION on the remote
repeatedly to select the desired source
to record.
DVD: To record from this system’s DVD
player.
MD: To record from this system’s MD
deck.
TUNER: To record from this system’s
tuner.
TV: To record from the connected TV.
VIDEO (SAT): To record from the
connected optional component.
3 Press REC.
The tape deck stands by for recording.
4 Press DIRECTION repeatedly to select
g” to record on one side. Select
h” (or “j”) to record on both
sides.
5 Move TAPE lever to nN repeatedly
to select recording side.
If you select both sides recording or front
side recording, move TAPE lever to nN
to light up the N indicator. If you record
on the reverse side, move TAPE lever to
nN again to light up the n indicator.
6 Press X, then start playing the desired
source to record.
Recording starts.
Other operations
Note
When you record from a Super Audio CD with multi-
channel sound, only the sound from the front L/R
speakers is recorded.
Tip
If noise is heard while recording from the tuner, move
the respective antenna to reduce the noise.
