• Depending on the settings of other speakers, the
subwoofer may output excessive sound.
Specifying the surround speaker
position and height
When setting the surround speakers, refer to the
diagram and select “SURROUND”.
The default setting is underlined.
xDISTANCE
The default distance setting for the speakers in
relation to the listening position is shown below.
Be sure to change the value in the Setup Display
when you move the speakers.

FRONT YES
CENTER YES
SURROUND BEHIND (LOW), BEHIND
(HIGH), SIDE (LOW), SIDE
(HIGH): Specify the position and
height to implement the Digital
Cinema Surround modes.
SUBWOOFER YES
BEHIND (LOW) Select this if the surround
speakers are located in section
B and D.
BEHIND (HIGH) Select this if the surround
speakers are located in section
B and C.
SIDE (LOW) Select this if the surround
speakers are located in section
A and D.
SIDE (HIGH) Select this if the surround
speakers are located in section
A and C.

FRONT

Front speaker distance from the
listening position can be set in
0.2 meter increments from 1.0 to
7.0 meters.
CENTER

Center speaker distance can be moved
up to 1.6 meters closer to the listening
position, from the front speakers in
0.2 meter increments.
SURROUND

Surround speaker distance can be
moved up to 4.6 meters closer to the
listening position, from the front
speakers in 0.2 meter increments.
