RECORDING (5) – ANALOG-SOURCE RECORDING
Adjusting the AUTO TRACK level
During ANALOG recording, the AUTO TRACK function
considers periods of silence to be an indication of a division
between tracks and applies new track numbers at times
when the audio signal drops below a certain level. This may
not be beneficial when recording music or other media with
intentional or incidental silent passages. This setting
establishes the level that the signal must go below before a
new track number is applied.
1 Press the MENU button repeatedly until
“AT-
xx
dB” is displayed.
2 Use the 41 ¡¢ buttons to select the
AUTO TRACK level (66 dB, 60 dB, 54 dB, 48
dB, 42 dB, 36 dB).
Initial setting is –60 dB.
When the original setting is changed, a question mark “?”
blinks next to the selected option.
3 Press the SKIP ID SET button to memorize the
setting.
The question mark disappears from the display and the new
setting is memorized.
4 Press the 7 button to exit the MENU mode.
