CD-R finalization
To be able to play a recorded CD-R disc on a standard CD
player, the disc must be first subjected to processing called
finalization.

“CD-R” indicator lights. “-R” indicator does not light.
CD-RW
A finalized CD-RW disc cannot be played back on a standard
CD player. A CD-RW disc player is required to play back such
discs.
Recordings made on CD-RW discs can be erased even when
they have been finalized . New recordings can be made after
erasure. Refer to page 88 for information on how to erase
recordings.
