This unit can be used to record CD-R (CD Recordable) discs
or CD-RW (CD ReWritable) discs.
Once recorded, a CD-R disc cannot be erased. However, a
recorded CD-RW disc can be erased later.
Both CD-R and CD-RW discs provide the high sound quality
and excellent durability that is the hallmark of ordinary
prerecorded CDs (compact discs).
Playback of CD-R, CD-RW and CD discs
This recorder can be used to play partially recorded CD-R or
CD-RW discs, finalized CD-R or CD-RW discs and standard
prerecorded CD discs.
Creation of CD-compatible discs
A CD-R disc can be played on a CD player just as a standard
pre-recorded disc can be played, provided the CD-R disc has
been finalized (recording the Table Of Contents) after
recording.
PLEASE NOTE CD-RW disc’s can only be played back on
players specifically designed to play CD-RW discs.
Sampling frequency converter
When recording from a digital source such as a satellite
broadcast, DAT, DCC, or DVD with sampling frequencies of
32 kHz to 48 kHz, this unit will automatically record the disc
with a sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz, which is the standard
sampling frequency for CD’s or MD’s.
However the sampling frequency of the digital outputs during
recording will be the same as the sampling frequency input to
the unit.
Digital-source synchro recording modes
When recording digital signals from CD, DAT, MD, DVD or
DCC etc., the recording can be started and stopped
synchronously with the start and stop times of the source
device.
A mode for synchro recording single tracks is also available
for easy compilation recording.
