Checking the total playing
time and titles
Press TIME/TEXT repeatedly when the
playback is stopped.
Each time you press the button, the display
changes cyclically as follows:
x DVD VIDEO or DVD-RW in VR mode
Total number of titles on the disc t
Title of the disc

x VIDEO CD without PBC playback or
AUDIO CD
Total number of the tracks on the disc and the
total playing time of the disc t
Title of the disc

“– –:– –” appears in the display if you have not set
the clock.
2)
“NO TEXT” appears in the display if the DVD
VIDEO is not a DVD-TEXT disc, the AUDIO CD
is not a CD-TEXT disc or the VIDEO CD do not
have text information.

The current chapter number and the current title
number is displayed for 2 seconds before the display
returns to elapsed playing time when you press
TIME/TEXT during display of title of the disc.

When the Program Play or Shuffle Play is On, the
elapsed playing time and the remaining time of the
disc would be skipped.

The current album number and the current file
number is displayed for 2 seconds before the display
returns to elapsed playing time when you press
TIME/TEXT during display of title of the file.

The current track number and current index number
is displayed for 2 seconds before the display returns
to elapsed playing time when you press TIME/
TEXT during display of the title of disc.
7)
The current scene number is displayed for 2 seconds
before the display returns to elapsed playing time
when you press TIME/TEXT during display of title
of the disc.
Notes
• If you play back a disc containing JPEG image files
only, “JPEG” or “No Audio” message appears in the
display.
• When the selected disc is DATA CD with MP3 audio
tracks and/or JPEG image files or DATA CD/DATA
DVD with DivX video files, the total number of
albums on the disc appears in the display when
playback is stopped and the list of album/title/file is
not displayed on the on-screen display.
• You cannot change the display of disc information by
pressing TIME/TEXT
– during playback of a JPEG image file.
– when playback is stopped for DATA CD with MP3
audio tracks and/or JPEG image files.
– when playback is stopped for DATA CD or DATA
DVD with DivX video files.
• If the title of MP3 audio track containing the
characters which cannot be displayed, these
characters will be displayed as “*”.
• Elapsed playing time of MP3 audio tracks and DivX
video files may not be displayed correctly.
