8 Select “Agree”, then press .
The receiver starts to update the software
and the GUI MODE is turned off
automatically. The ON/STANDBY
indicator on the front panel flashes during
the update. It may take a while (about
40 minutes at the longest) for the receiver
to finish the update. The required time
will depend on the amount of data in the
updates, the line type of the network, the
network communication environment,
etc.
“Complete!” appears after the software
update is finished.
Changes or adjustments made to the
settings are now reset to the defaults.
Note
If one of the below conditions appears, the
software update has error.
– The ON/STANDBY indicator flashes in
quick succession.
– “ERROR” appears on the display panel.
– No indicator lights up on the display panel or
the ON/STANDBY indicator lights off.
– The receiver does not finish the update after
40 minutes and “UPDATING” keep on
flashes on the display panel.
Unplug the power cord, and then plug in the
power cord again. The receiver will try to
update the software. If the condition continues,
contact your nearest Sony dealer.
To cancel the procedure
Select “Cancel” in step 7.
To go back to the previous
screen
Press RETURN/EXIT O before the receiver
starts the software update.
You cannot go back to the previous screen
when the update starts.

The receiver cannot retrieve information on the

The receiver has failed to join a PARTY.
Cannot Play
The receiver cannot play audio files due to an
unsupported file format or playback restrictions.
Cannot START
The receiver has failed to start a PARTY.
Data Error
You tried to play an unplayable file.
Device Full!
You cannot register any more devices to the device
list.
Initialize
The receiver is performing a factory default setting
to Network function.
No Server
There is no server on the network that the receiver
can connect to. Try refreshing the server list
(page 69).
No Track
There is no playable file in the selected folder on the
server.
Not Found
There is no item on the server that matches a
keyword.
