The MD Deck
Recording
4 Turn MD JOG until “T.Mark Off”
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
5 Turn MD JOG until “T.Mark LSync”
appears, then press ENTER/YES.
“L-SYNC” lights up.
6 Press MENU/NO.
7 Press MD S.
Recording starts.
To stop recording
Press MD s.
To change the trigger level for
Level Synchro Recording
Do the procedure below to change the signal level
that triggers Level Synchro Recording.
1 Press MENU/NO during recording pause.
“Setup?” appears, then press ENTER/YES.
2 Turn MD JOG until “LS(T)” appears, then
press ENTER/YES.
3 Turn MD JOG to select the level, then press
ENTER/YES.
You can set the level at any value between
–72 dB and 0 dB, in 2 dB steps. When you
press CLEAR, the volume returns to the factory
setting (–50 dB).
4 Press MENU/NO.
To cancel automatic track
marking
1 Press MENU/NO during recording pause.
“Setup?” appears, then press ENTER/YES.
2 Turn MD JOG until “T.Mark LSync” appears,
then press ENTER/YES.
3 Turn MD JOG until “T.Mark Off” appears, then
press ENTER/YES.
4 Press MENU/NO.
“L-SYNC” disappears.
When “L-SYNC” is off, a track number is marked
only at the beginning of each recording.
Marking track numbers at a
specific point during
recording

You can mark track numbers at any time during
recording, regardless of the type of sound source.
