2 Press one of the CD 1 – 5 A and place a
CD.
Then press again to close the disc tray.

Recording a CD on an
MD
You can make a digital recording of a CD on an
MD, marking track numbers in the same sequence
as the original CD.
You can also record a programme of favourite
tracks (see page 28).
To turn on the system, press ?/1 (power).

1 Insert a recordable MD.
With the label side up, and the
shutter on the righthand side

up. When you play
a CD single (8cm
CD), place it on the
inner circle of the
tray.
3 Press CD SYNC NORMAL.
To record at high speed, press CD SYNC
HIGH.
“×1” (“×2” for high speed recording) appears
in the display. “ΜD New Track” and
remaining recordable time on the MD appear
alternately.
The MD deck stands by for recording and the
CD player pauses for play.
4 Press MD S.
Recording starts. You cannot pause
recording during CD-MD Synchro
Recording. When the recording is completed,
the CD player and the MD deck stop
automatically.
To stop recording
Press CD s or MD s.
