DAB1 DISTRIBUTED AUDIO SYSTEM
After setting the number of repeats, drag the Repeat
Steps icon into the M
ACRO Window. Then drag the
command to be repeated into the bracket connected
to the Repeat command (see
Figure 65
, on page 44).
Toggle IR Code
The T
OGGLE IR CODE command (see
Figure 66
) causes
a button to alternate between two different IR
commands each time the button is pressed. This is
useful for creating a button that will toggle between
two different commands such as combining separate
P
LAY
and PAUSE commands into a single button.
After dragging the TOGGLE IR CODE icon into the
M
ACRO
Window, drag the two IR commands you want
the button to toggle between into the bracket connect-
ed to the T
OGGLE IR CODE command (see
Figure 67
).
Modifying IR Commands In Macros
After a macro has been completed, IR commands can be modified from within the
macro, allowing you to “fine-tune” the command’s IR characteristics (and the
macro’s performance) without having to rebuild the macro from scratch.
Double-click on the macro command you want to modify. The E
DIT
IR COMMAND
window (see
Figure 68
) will appear, allowing you to change the number of times
the command is repeated on each button press, the command’s IR frequency and
the P
ROGRAMMED IR port that outputs the command.
Controlling the DAB1 via RS-232
(Inbound Serial Control)
In addition to issuing RS-232 commands in macros to control other audio/video components, the DAB1’s audio functions
can also be controlled via RS-232 commands issued by an RS-232 capable control device (serial control).
Note: The DAB1 is capable of one-directional serial operation (either
INBOUND
OR
OUTBOUND
) ONLY.
Placing a single RS-232 command in any macro will automatically configure the DAB1 as an
OUTBOUND
serial control unit that will not respond to RS-232 commands from a serial control device.
To allow the DAB1 to be controlled by a serial-control device you must remove all RS-232
commands from all macros. See Finding RS-232 Commands In Macros, on page 53, for more information.
