H Track/disc name
Up to 255 tracks can be named on each disc, and each disc
can be given a disc name.
I Up to 100 characters (including spaces) can be entered for each
name. If more than 100 characters are entered, “NAME FULL” will
appear.
I A total of approximately 1700 characters can be used for all of the disc
and track names. If more than 1700 characters are entered, “TOC
FULL” will appear.

H To create a disc name
Create name for the whole disc. The disc name is displayed
when an MD is inserted.
1 Press the MD H button.
I The total number of tracks and the total playing time for the MD will
appear.
2 Press the NAME/TOC EDIT button, and then select “DISC
NAME” using the MULTI CONTROL button.
I To enter a disc name using extra large characters
Within 10 seconds, press the DISPLAY button to make the extra large
character display appear.
3 Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.
I The unit will enter the character input mode.
4 Enter the characters in the name.
I For details about entering characters and how to make corrections,
see pages 13 - 16.
5 After entering all of the characters in the name, press the
NAME/TOC EDIT button.
I The disc name will be recorded.
Note:
I This function cannot be used while in the program ( “PRGM” is lit) or
the random play modes ( “RANDOM” is lit). First, cancel the program
or random play modes before trying to use this function.

H To create a track name
Name each track. The track name will be displayed whenever
you select it and during playback.
1During playback, press the NAME/TOC EDIT button.
I “TRACK NAME” will appear.
I To enter a track name using extra large characters
Within 10 seconds, press the DISPLAY button to make the extra large
character display appear.
2 Within 10 seconds, press the ENTER button.
I The unit will enter the character input mode.
I The track you are listening to will be played repeatedly.
3 Enter the characters in the name.
I For details about entering characters and how to make corrections,
see pages 13 - 16.
4 After entering all of the characters in the name, press the
NAME/TOC EDIT button.
I The track name will be recorded.
I The unit will return to normal playback.
