What is a V.C. (Variable Coefficient) filter?
A variable coefficient filter changes the sound characteristics of a
signal by applying specific frequency cut-off conditions. Such
filters are provided on digital devices such as CD players and
MD decks to remove aliasing noise.
Note
The change in sound characteristics caused by digital filters occur
mainly in the inaudible range, not the audible range as in the case
of an amplifier.
