Playing a Specific Track
While the deck is playing or stopped, use the procedure
below to quickly play any track.

Locating a track with AMS*
To go to Do the following:
z
You can change the duration of Music Scan
1 While the deck is stopped, press MENU/NO twice.
“Setup Menu” appears in the display.
2 Turn AMS (or press ./> repeatedly) until “M.Scan”
appears, then press AMS or YES.
3 Turn AMS (or press ./> repeatedly) to select the
duration, then press AMS or YES. You can set the duration
within a range of six to twenty seconds, in one step.
4 Press MENU/NO.
Playing a track by entering the track
number Z
Press the number button(s) to enter the track number
of the track you want to play.
To enter a track number over 25
1 Press >25.
2 Enter the corresponding digits.
To enter 0, press 10 instead.
Examples:
To play track number 30, press >25, then 3 and 10.
To play track number 108, press >25 twice, then 1, 10, and
8.

If you enter a track number while the deck is stopped or
paused
The deck will still be stopped or paused at the beginning of the
track.
The next or a succeeding track
during play
Turn AMS clockwise (or press
> repeatedly).
A preceding track during play Turn AMS counterclockwise (or
press . repeatedly).
The beginning of the current
track during play
Turn AMS counterclockwise (or
press . once).
A specific track while the deck
is stopped
Turn AMS (or press ./>
repeatedly) until the track
number you want to go to flashes
in the display, then press AMS or
H.
A specific track by scanning
each track for six to twenty
seconds (Music Scan) Z
Press M.SCAN to start scanning.
When you find the track you
want, press H to start playing.

To locate the last track of the MD quickly
While the deck is stopped, turn AMS counterclockwise (or press
. once).
z
If you locate a track while the deck is stopped or paused
The deck will still be stopped or paused at the beginning of the
located track.
