Convenient Functions for Recording

You can sound a count before recording begins. Hearing a count can help you practice
the timing or tempo of your performance before you actually start recording.

Press the [ ](Metronome) button to turn on the metronome.

Specify the sound, tempo, and time signature of the count.
The sound, tempo, and time signature of the count will be the same as specified by the
metronome settings. For details, refer to Steps 2–4 of “Making Fine Adjustments to the
Playback Pitch (Pitch)” (Page 78).

Press the [MENU] button to access the menu screen, and choose “Count-
in (Beat).”

Press the [MENU] button to access the menu screen.
Use the [ ] [ ] buttons to choose “Count-in
(Beat).”
Press the [ENTER] button to confirm your choice.

Use the [+] [-] buttons to adjust the value that specifies how many count
notes will be sounded before recording begins.

Press the [EXIT] button twice.
You’re returned to the audio source screen.
