Switching the auxiliary setting
It is possible to use auxiliary equipment with
this unit. Activate the auxiliary setting when
using auxiliary equipment connected to this
unit.
% Touch AUX on the initial menu to turn
auxiliary setting on.
# To turn auxiliary setting off, touch AUX
again.
Setting the illumination
switch
You can choose whether to have the illumina-
tion of this unit switch on/off when the ignition
key is turned to the ACC position or the power-
off position.
! When the navigation unit or AVG-VDP1 is
connected to this unit, you cannot operate
this function.
% Touch ILM SW on the initial menu to
turn the illumination switch on.
Set the illumination switch ON to have the illu-
mination of this unit remain on when the igni-
tion key is turned to the ACC position. Set to
OFF to have the illumination off when the igni-
tion key is turned to the ACC position.
# To turn the illumination switchoff, touch
ILM SW again.
Note
Never set the illumination switch onif the vehicle
does not have the ACC position. It may cause bat-
tery leakage.
Selecting the illumination
color
This unit is equipped with two illumination col-
ors, green and red. You can select the desired
illumination color.
% Touch ILM CL on the initial menu to se-
lect the desired illumination color.
Touching ILM CL will switch the illumination
color between GREEN (green) and RED
(red).
Setting the rear output and
subwoofer controller
This units rear output (rear speaker leads out-
put) can be used for full-range speaker (FULL)
or subwoofer (SUB. W) connection. If you
switch the rear output setting to the SUB. W,
you can connect a rear speaker lead directly to
a subwoofer without using an auxiliary amp.
Initially, the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
er connection (FULL). When rear output is
connected to full range speakers (when FULL
is selected), you can connect the RCA sub-
woofer output to a subwoofer. In this case, you
can select whether to use the subwoofer con-
trollers (low pass filter, phase) built-in SUB.W
or the auxiliary FULL.
! When the multi-channel processor (e.g.,
DEQ-P6600) is connected to this unit, you
cannot operate this function.
1 Touch NEXT on the initial menu.
2 Touch REARSP.
3 Touch a or b to switch the rear output
setting.
Touch a to select full-range speaker and FULL
appears in the display. Touch b to select sub-
woofer and SUB. W appears in the display.
