Miscellaneous”
menu.
Note:
This procedure can also be performed on the AV receiver
by using its [Setup] button, arrow buttons, and [Enter]
button.
Volume Setup
Volume Display
With this setting, you can choose how the volume level
is displayed.
The absolute value 82 is equivalent to the relative value
0 dB.
Muting Level
This setting determines how much the output is muted
when the Muting function is used (see page 56). It can be
set to –
dB (fully muted) or from –50 dB to –10 dB in
10 dB steps.
Maximum Volume
With this setting, you can limit the maximum volume.
When the “Volume Display” setting is set to “Absolute”,
the Maximum Volume range is “Off”, 50 to 99.
When it’s set to “Relative”, the range is “Off”, –32 dB to
+17 dB. To disable this setting, select “Off”.
PowerOn Volume
With this preference, you can specify the volume setting
to be used each time the AV receiver is turned on.
When the “Volume Display” preference is set to “Abso-
lute”, the range is “Last”, “Min”, 1 to 99 or “Max”.
When it’s set to “Relative”, the range is “Last”, –
dB,
–81 dB to +18 dB.
To use the same volume level that was used when the AV
receiver was turned off, select “Last”.
The “PowerOn Volume” cannot be set higher than the
“Maximum Volume” setting.
Headphone Level
With this preference, you can specify the headphone vol-
ume relative to the main volume. This is useful if there’s
a volume difference between your speakers and your
headphones. The headphones level can be set from –12
dB to +12 dB.
