Note
Any speaker not configured in the speaker system setup menu displays N/A (not
available) for the distance specification.
3. CALIBRATE VOLUME
The third menu option, calibrate volume, allows you to calibrate each channel using the
Home Theater Standard’s internal noise generator.
Note
A sound pressure level (SPL) meter is required for this procedure.

OPERATION
Use the $ $ keys (80) to highlight CALIBRATE VOLUME on the main menu and press enter
(83). The CALIBRATE VOLUME screen appears:

The auto noise sequence scrolls through the different speaker channels automatically,
allowing you to quickly calibrate channels. The manual noise sequence requires that
you select each channel before calibrating.
Highlight your preferred choice and press enter (83). The message INITIALIZING... blinks
while the Home Theater Standard loads its noise generator, or receives a signal from
external program material.
