Sleep timer
(SLEEP)
Use the following procedure to turn the unit
OFF automatically when the designated pe-
riod of time has elapsed. The sleep timer
period can be set to up to 90 minutes in 10-
minute steps.
Remote control only
Press the SLEEP key repeat-
edly until the desired OFF
time.
Each press increments the period by 10
minutes.
10 → 20
...
80 → 90 → OFF → 10
...
When the set period has elapsed, the unit
is automatically turned OFF.

To check the remaining sleep timer :
Press the SLEEP key during execution of
the sleep timer.
To cancel sleep timer :
Press the SLEEP key repeatedly so that
"SLEEP" disappears.
÷ During execution of the sleep timer, the back light
is dimmed to the "L" brightness even when it has
been set to "H".

When the unit is left for more than 30 min-
utes while the CD and MD are in stop mode
or while the "TUNER" input is selected and
the volume is set to "0"., the unit can be set
to turn off automatically.
